Mutata — from Latin, she who has metamorphosed — is a vision of the Soul as it descends into the Underworld. There is only one path forward: transform, or vanish.

When the Soul enters the inner Darkness of the subconscious mind, the confrontation can feel terrifying — even painful. Yet this descent is necessary. It is through the Fire of the Underworld that the Soul is purified, and ancestral trauma that was never truly yours begins to dissolve.

Mutata appears here as a butterfly — but she is no ordinary one. She is fierce. She holds the currents of the Underworld around her as part of her new design. She did not escape the Darkness. She became it, and emerged reborn.
